I’m a dental hygienist who works in a large pediatric dental/orthodontic office.  Seems like there is alway a high speed handpiece down.  The turn around time and cost to get these fixed was substantial.  So I decided to see what I could do to fix them.  After a little online research, I found rotors and turbines.  I have to say I was a little skeptical at first.  How could it possibly cost so much less than what we had been paying? So I took a chance.  We got the turbines in for our Star handpieces, and I immediately exchanged them. So far, they have worked beautifully.  If you are willing to take a little time to DIY, this is the way to go!
